PU cleanroom panel

System Overview

A PU Cleanroom Panel bonds two coated-steel facings to a rigid polyurethane (PU) foam core — a high-insulation, airtight cleanroom wall and ceiling panel made to a ≤ 2 mm/2 m flatness tolerance.

Product Details

PU Cleanroom Panel — High-Insulation Polyurethane Sandwich Panel

The PU Cleanroom Panel combines coated-steel skins with a rigid polyurethane core. Its closed-cell construction provides low thermal conductivity, airtight sealing, low weight and ≤ 2 mm/2 m flatness for temperature-controlled rooms.

What Is a PU Cleanroom Panel?

A PU cleanroom panel uses color-coated steel facings around rigid polyurethane foam. The closed-cell core provides high insulation, a strong bond and low weight, while the steel surface is anti-static, wipe-clean and corrosion-resistant.

PU suits cold rooms and controlled environments where insulation and sealing lead. Choose PIR for a higher B1 fire rating, or rock wool and MgO rock wool when A-grade non-combustibility is required.

Part of Wonclean's cleanroom sandwich panel family, the PU panel pairs with matching ceiling systems and cleanroom doors and windows for a fully sealed, flush cleanroom wall system.

Expert FAQ on PU Cleanroom Panels

When should I choose PU over PIR or rock wool?

Choose PU when thermal insulation and sealing are the top priority — cold rooms, cold-chain and controlled-temperature areas — as it has the lowest thermal conductivity. If you need a higher fire rating with similar insulation, the PIR panel (B1) is better; for A-grade non-combustible walls choose rock wool.

What is the fire rating of a PU panel?

PU cores are available in B1 or B2 flame-retardant grades, with third-party reports. Use mineral cores where A-grade is mandatory.

How good is the thermal insulation?

With λ around 0.022 W/(m·K), PU achieves strong insulation at lower thickness and helps reduce cooling energy.

Does the panel prevent condensation in cold rooms?

Closed-cell foam and sealed joints control vapour, air leakage and condensation in chilled rooms.

Which facing, color and flatness can I expect?

Pre-painted or stainless steel facings are available in matched RAL or custom colors, targeting ≤ 2 mm/2 m flatness.

What are the lead time and minimum order?

Typical lead time is 10–15 days for samples or small orders and 20–25 days for a full container, subject to specification.
